About the Purple Candle:
We can’t wait to bring this delightful story book to print – although written for children aged 5 to 10, the story speaks to everyone. It is a story that captivates and inspires.

The book has English and Khmer text, and is full of lovely illustrations. It is in 2 languages as the intentions are that both Singaporean children and Cambodian children can share this beautiful story. Plans are being made as we speak, with the religious community in Battambang to send between 100-250 copies to schools and kindergartens in Cambodia.
As part of the publishing of the book, we will be conducting readings and workshops for children to experience the book with art activities. Stay tuned for details !

The Author and Illustrator
Geraldine Schubert is a multi award-winning artist. Her art highlights the familiar from a brand new perspective, enabling others to see the sustaining dignity and beauty in the most ordinary.

This is her first foray into picture book writing and illustrating in collaboration with friends from ACTS. She hopes you will enjoy it.
